Jara Rocha treballa a través de les formes situades i complexes de distribució del tecnològic amb una sensibilitat antifa i trans*feminista. Tendeix a trobar-se en tasques de remediació, edició, investigació-acció i comissariat in(ter)dependent. Les seves àrees d'experimentació principals tenen a veure amb les condicions semiòtico-materials de possibilitat per a la justícia regenerativa.
Amb Femke Snelting ha publicat el llibre "Volumetric Regimes: Material Cultures of Quantified Presence" (Open Humanities Press, 2022) i amb Helen Pritchard treballen en els projectes The Underground Division i Queering Damage. Amb Karl Moubarak i Cristina Cochior conformen la Cell for Digital Discomfort.
Jara és membre associat de The Institute for Technology in the Public Interest. Viu a Barcelona, on desenvolupa la seva pràctica pedagògica a EINA i ESCAC; és Fellow 2023 d'InfraManteniment a Hangar / La Virreina, forma part de l'equip curatorial de La Capella i el seu programa Naturoculturas son Disturbios" s'emet erràticament des de la ràdio local Dublab.
