Ambushes is a program of site-specific artistic interventions, curated by the artist Jordi Colomer in collaboration with einaidea’s team. Following a consistent methodology of open, intensive workshops guided by guest artists, this program aims to explore and generate concepts, objects, and strategies applicable to the deliberately unfinished construction of Eina Bosc. Each proposed intervention is simultaneously an initiative to transform the site and an experimental extension of the processes intrinsic to the school, to the creative act of inhabiting it, working in it, and activating its ecosystem.
Since its launch in 2021, coinciding with the renovation process of the Eina Bosc building, Ambushes has featured artists, designers, and architects connected to Barcelona's creative scene, as well as international guests. Each project initiates a radically contextual and conceptually open reflection, aimed at revealing the potential of the site and its archaeology, and influencing the approach to the dynamics and resources of Eina Bosc as a whole. Collaboration is key to the unique developments of each Emboscada, which is always conceived as an open call to the city’s entire artistic community.
To date, the Emboscadas program has included the following interventions:
Ambush #1: Sergi Aguilar, May 2021

In Autumn 2023, a session of recapitulation, exchange and debate took place with some of the program's invited artists. This gathering culminates in the book Emboscades #1-9 which, published in late 2024, features work documents, essays, images and archive material that document exhaustively the first cycle of Ambushes, carried out between 2021 and 2023.
Emboscades #1-9's book presentation takes place on 13 January 2025 at Llibreria Finestres in Barcelona, and coincides with the development of a second phase of invitations and workshops within a constant program of Ambushes, which continue to feature the participation of other artists and invited agents.
