Language Policy

As in the rest of the Catalan territory and in accordance with Universitat Autònoma’s language policy, EINA’s working language is Catalan which is an official language together with Spanish and English (lingua franca of the academic community).

Therefore, teachers choose freely (between Catalan and Spanish) the working language they would like to use. Even so, if necessary, during the first days of the school year students coming from outside Catalunya are helped by repeating content, slowing down explanations or translating them. Students will also be able to freely choose whether to write their work and exams in Catalan, Spanish or English, according to their preference.

On the other hand, the Centre commits to the introduction of English with the purpose of improving the students’ skills in this language, always supported by native or qualified teachers that will guarantee enough competence to teach using English as a working language.
