EINA Bachelor's and Master's Degree students, finalists of the Laus Awards

The jury of the Laus Awards, one of the most prestigious competitions in the field of graphic design and visual communication, organised by the Association of Graphic Designers and Art Directors (ADG-FAD), has chosen the following Final Projects of the Bachelor of Design and the Final Projects of the Master's Degree in Graphic Design as finalists of the 52nd edition of these awards.

Final Projects of the Bachelor of Design:

Anna Bosch Rubirola - No aparcar
This is an editorial project whose guiding thread is a specific space: the garage. A singular place that does not have a specific cultural charge. A diaphanous space that is not defined as habitable but which has an infinite number of uses. "No aparcar" shows this space through photography and reflections on its use and evolution, as well as portraying and exposing the needs of a society.

Emma Garcia Alonso - Edgar Allan Poe's Amusing Tales
It is an object book that experiments to enrich the relationship between literature and the materiality of the book through identity and graphic resources, enhancing a concept of each Poe's tale and pushing the limits of readability. "Edgar Allan Poe's Amusing Tales" blurs the boundary between container and content to enhance the meaning of the text and create an active reading experience.

Guillem García Romera - La Ciudad Jardín
This project proposes a graphic in a movable space based on a set of magnets, a "Flora" guide that seeks to encourage people to go out into the natural environment and elements that generate an interior identity without being invasive with the graphic. "La Ciudad Jardín" seeks to humanise the hospital facilities of the Centro Asistencial Dr. Emili Mira i López (care centre for psychiatric patients).

Marc Menció Domingo - Laboratori de captcha
The project is an exploration of the future possibilities of CAPTCHA using our human skills as a basis for creating better systems that are secure and improve the current user experience. “Laboratori de captcha” puts graphic design at the heart of innovation and demonstrates its value in improving the interaction of 200 million daily users.

Lidia Puig González - Distype
A process of experimentation gives rise to the design of six alphabets, showing different ways in which the increase in temperature alters the original typography and transforms it. Three pieces are generated: 1 publication, 5 posters and 12 postcards. "Distype" aims to raise awareness about global warming in a direct and visual way; and is committed to physical experimentation as a basis from which to create.

Final Projects of the Master's Degree in Graphic Design:

Sarah Barbuto - unagenda
"unagenda" is a daily diary with an expiry date. As it is printed on thermal paper, the ink will fade, leaving the pages blank and only what has been written visible. The project aims to create a reflection on the value we give to time and how we use it. "unagenda" is a visual metaphor for the transience of time.

Oriol Cervantes - Ecoimpakt.org
"Ecoimpakt.org" is a speculative design project that takes the form of a hypothetical NGO. It exposes some of the problems associated with the misuse of the concepts of sustainability in our present, but it does so from 2031. The project critically reflects on hyper-consumption, greenwashing, the commodification of sustainability and the energy consumption of the Internet.
