Tània Vendrell, a graduate of the latest edition of the Master's Degree in Lifelong Learning in Exhibitions. Curation and Design, has been selected for La Capella's Barcelona Producció 2027 open call with her project Entre dos inicis (Between Two Beginnings), developed from her Master's Final Project (TFM).
Barcelona Producció is La Capella and the Barcelona Institute of Culture (ICUB)'s annual public open call, created to support the production and development of contemporary art projects. The programme provides resources for artists, curators, researchers and other emerging art professionals to develop exhibitions, research projects, publications, performances and other forms of contemporary artistic practice.
The project Between Entre dos inicis emerges from the research developed by Vendrell as part of their Master's Thesis and exemplifies the continuity between academic work and its professional projection. In this sense, the project is expanded through the commission of four original artistic proposals by Biel Llinàs, Helena Laguna Bastante, Laia Velasco Flo, and Abril Carretero i Balcells, who were invited to develop interventions in dialogue with the conceptual frameworks of the research. This openness to other artistic practices transforms Between Entre dos inicis into a space for shared inquiry, where the exhibition moves beyond presenting the outcomes of the Master's Thesis to become a platform for collective production, exchange, and experimentation.
The exhibition Entre dos inicis will be presented at La Capella (56 Hospital Street, Barcelona), in the Espai Rampa, from 25 January to 30 April 2028. The opening will take place on 25 January 2028 at 7:00 pm.
