On 16 July, Eina held the Graduation Ceremony for the 2025–2026 Master's and Postgraduate Programmes, bringing together almost 400 students, academic staff, families and members of the academic community to celebrate the completion of an important stage in their education and welcome a new generation of design and art professionals.
The ceremony, held at Eina Bosc, was hosted by Sara Coscarelli, Head of Masters Studies, and featured speeches by Violeta Sugranyes, Director of the EinaFoundation, and Paqui Blánquez Cano, Director of the UAB School of Lifelong Learning, together with representatives from the various academic programmes.
Speaking on behalf of the graduating cohort were Cainã de Andrade Piccinini, from the Postgraduate Diploma in Photography and Editorial Design, and Mitzi Reyna, from the Master's Degree in Research in Art and Design (MURAD). Cainã reflected on his experience as an international student and highlighted the importance of community and collaborative creative processes, reminding the audience that "art should be a right, not a privilege". Mitzi, meanwhile, spoke about the warm welcome she received at Eina and how the master's programme had transformed her understanding of artistic practice, stating that "making is also a way of doing research".
During the ceremony, certificates were presented to students from the various master's degrees, postgraduate programmes and specialist courses, followed by the traditional group photographs with the programme coordinators. The celebration concluded with refreshments and a musical session, providing an opportunity for graduates, families, academic staff and students to come together.
Opening of the Illustration Programmes Exhibition
Before the graduation ceremony, Eina inaugurated an exhibition "Illustration at Eina" showcasing the final projects from the Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques, and Specialisation Course in Children’s and Youth Illustration programmes. The exhibition highlights the emerging voices in illustration nurtured at the school. The opening was led by Sara Coscarelli and included remarks by the respective programme coordinators, Philip Stanton and Gabriela Rubio, who introduced the exhibition and highlighted the quality, diversity and emerging talent of the students.
The exhibition brings together a selection of projects that reflect the diversity of visual languages, techniques and perspectives that characterise Eina's illustration programmes, reinforcing their role as spaces for experimentation, research and professional development. The exhibition will remain open until 10 September and will be closed throughout August for the summer holidays.
