Francina Ayuso takes part in the Inspired in Barcelona: Luce exhibition with her project Greta, developed within the framework of her Design Degree studies.
Greta, showcased at the Milano Design Week, stems from the idea of light emerging through a crack—a metaphor for vulnerability and strength materialized in different lighting formats. After exploring stone in previous works, Francina turns to metal to embody the concept of separation and reflection. The result is a versatile piece that can take on different forms: a table lamp, a wall light, and even a floor lamp.
After its presentation at Milano Design Week, the exhibition now arrives in Barcelona with a fresh perspective that highlights self-produced projects, unique pieces, and limited editions created for real users. The show aims to emphasize the direct bond between creator and audience, as well as to recover the origins of this independent practice.
Inspired in Barcelona: Luce is curated by Stefano Colli, with design and scenography by Colli and Carles Novell. The architectural lighting of the space was developed by Simon and designed by Michela Mezzavilla – MMAS Lighting. The installation is presided over by the BARCELONA luminaire, a creation by architect and designer Antoni Arola, an Eina alumnus.
The exhibition opens on October 7 at 12 pm at DHub with the talk Llum i autoedició, which brings together four voices from design and architecture to reflect on light as a language and self-edition as a growing trend, marked by personalization and limited series. The speakers include Cheché Valdés, Maria Figueras (ACTO studio), Max Enrich (Eina professor, Curated by), and Clara Batiste (Simon), moderated by Stefano Colli.
