Eina participates in the exhibition Inspired in Barcelona: Luce, which presents the field of lighting from the perspective of the past, present and future, and which takes place within the framework of Milano Design Week.
→ Inspired in Barcelona: Luce
→ From 8 to 13 April
→ Salone GB Scalabrini, Chiesa Santa Maria del Carmine (Piazza del Carmine, 10)
In this exhibition you will be able to see the projects of the students of the Bachelor of Design: Francina Ayuso, Clara Barrantes, Laia Poy, Rocío Rodríguez Hidalga and Guillem Solans, carried out within the framework of the subject Design of lighting elements, led by Jordi Blasi.
Greta - Francina Ayuso
Greta arises from the idea of light emerging through a crack, the space between two bodies that allows light to pass through. It arises from vulnerability, from expressing design through materials. Inspired by stone in previous projects, I explored its fragility and the concept of separation. However, its complexity led me to explore another material: metal, capable of bringing my idea to life. Greta represents the light that breaks through, the reflection that forms the crack. It can take many forms: today it is a table lamp, soon a wall lamp and perhaps even a floor lamp. Greta is the expression of light finding its way.

Ciro from Möeb Collection - Clara Barrantes
In this nomadic world, where we carry our lives in our bags, a light designed to move with us is essential. The Ciro lamp, inspired by organic forms, features a Möbius loop - a single, endless surface - symbolising the continuous circadian cycle of life and light. Made of noble, supple leather, it is portable, tactile and comfortable to wear as a fashion accessory. Versatile in use, it can be hung as a wall lamp, placed on a table or on a shelf. It emits a warm, vivid glow that guides you through this infinite flow of light from dusk till dawn.

Edredón – Laia Poy
Edredón (Duvet) is cosy, huggable and warm. For this lamp, the light must embody these qualities, not the structure that projects it. Its light is perceived through the surface on which it is reflected. Interacting and playing with the fabric is the main objective. The resulting lamp is a metaphor for the duvet, for the nocturnal encounter with the uncovered sheets, as described above.

AXIS - Rocío Rodríguez Hidalga
As designers, we often seek a balance, a harmony between two opposing poles. That is what AXIS achieves: playing with the poles. AXIS is inspired by the fluorescent tube. It has a magnet in the centre, and through this hidden accessory, an interaction is established between the person and the object. The magnet invites us to play with the light, allowing multiple positions on various supports. This allows us to have not only a floor, table or wall lamp, but a whole lighting system. AXIS can be attached to any magnetic element we can imagine.

GIR - Guillem Solans
A tabletop luminaire, flexible and capable of recreating multiple positions; on one hand, the flexo allows the option of focusing downwards, with a more focused and direct light, and adopting the studio position. On the other hand, when the flexo is not used, it can turn 180º and focus upwards, generating an ambient light that completely breaks with the initial concept.

The exhibition brings together more than 100 lighting objects in three groups. One area pays tribute to the ‘classics’, to the luminaires that have marked history and inspired generations of designers. A second group brings together projects that have become products thanks to the collaboration between designers and companies that have opted for design as a strategic and valuable tool for their brand. And finally, a third group highlights emerging designs, ranging from desktop publishing and personalised objects to artistic and collectable design pieces.
Inspired in Barcelona: Luce brings together projects by Eina alumni such as Antoni Arola, Josep Lluscà, Javier Mariscal, Josep Aregall, Gemma Bernal, Pepe Cortés; former teachers such as Miguel Milá, André Ricard, Federico Correa, Jorge Pensi, Antoni Blanc and Antoni de Moragas; designers who have received the Amic Eina Award such as Josep M. Massana and Josep M. Tremoleda; and teachers such as Dani Vila (Nahtrang Studio) and Max Enrich, among others.
The installation, curated by Stefano Colli, is organised by the Barcelona Creativity & Design Foundation and supported by Barcelona City Council’s Department of Culture and Creative Industries through Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHub) and the Government of Catalonia through ACCIÓ – Catalonia Trade & Investment.
