In the Shackleton project, imagination and science fiction combine to create unreal spatial situations whose aim is the experimentation of the domestic cell in conjunction with the outside and the ways of life and human psychology in extreme habitats. Its ultimate aim is also to find an application for it in cinematography. The creation of spaces, such as film and television sound stages, requires calling up spaces from the unconscious that are impossible to create in real life based on stage design. For this reason, the Shackleton project has been a method of experimentation that goes from interior design through the imaginary to stage design.
This project represents life on the moon, specifically in the Shackleton crater, where everyone must interpret a story on the basis of the images. The domestic cell hangs from the insulating structure for a closer connection with the Earth. The finishes and the intentions of the project must always connect with the domestic sensations that the individual who lives here can easily assimilate. For this reason, leisure and work areas have also been created in the lower areas of the crater that connect with the domestic cell through passageways.
