Exhibition
The students on Illustration Techniques, on the 4th year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, led by Enric Font, present the mural illustration exhibition, "Sweating Ink", made directly on the walls of the Espai Cultural EINA Barra de Ferro.
The work of future designers and visual creation students is surrounded by stereotypes and curious situations regarding the development of the profession. With an ironic tone, the exhibition turns some of these situations into images and transfers them to the wall, imbuing them with a new visual dimension. A mural illustration work created by the participants on the Illustration Techniques subject in the 4th year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Visual Creation Mention.
The students taking part are Mireia Banchs, Clara Botet, Maria Cejudo, Míriam Duran, Marina Esbrí, Judith Hirsch, Paula López, Irene Marcuello, Joan Mateu, Àngela Mercadal, Pili Osorio and Susanna Van Roessel
Talk by Reskate Arts and Crafts
As part of the intervention, on 18 January at 6 pm, before the opening, the Reskate Arts and Crafts studio will be giving a talk on their "Adorned with Lilies” project, on the façade of Gràcia Town Hall in Barcelona (2017). This activity is aimed at the participants in the subject, but it is also open to all EINA students and professionals in the sector.
Reskate is an arts collective comprised of María López and Javier de Riba, visual artists from San Sebastian and Barcelona respectively. Their style is influenced by classical sign writing, popular culture and graphic design. They work in murals, illustration, graphic design, installations and exhibition projects. They question their style in every project. With their mural works, they present interventions that become part of the space, taking stories or events from local culture as their reference. This way, they give visibility to parts of the identity of the surroundings in which they work.
With the collaboration of Moritz
