Rethinking the light of the garden

"Rethinking the light of the garden" is a reinterpretation of light in the nocturnal landscape of the Can Sentmenat Gardens at EINA, which will take place on Thursday 2 December from 5pm to 9pm.

This project is an exercise carried out by the students of the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Design of the subject Creation Laboratories 2, tutored by Àfrica Sabé, to demonstrate in a practical way that it is possible to illuminate the space of the gardens in another way to create a unique atmosphere.

The lighting of urban or public spaces is governed by regulations that aim to ensure that spaces open to the public can be used safely during the hours when the sun does not illuminate cities. These regulations do not take into consideration aesthetic, cultural or heritage criteria of the environment, often causing the nocturnal landscape to disappear and become invisible simply to ensure safe spaces.

"Rethinking the light of the garden" has the collaboration of Difusiona, ERCO, Iguzzini, Silence Electroacústica.

The students participating in the project are the following: Maria Pilar Alegre, Marta Belver, Alexia Cervera, Júlia Chicot, Martina del Castillo, Maria del Mar Disbrey, Alba Espuny, Anna Feliu, Clàudia Fíguls, Maria Gutiérrez, Carla Hormigos, Josep Antoni Magrans, Laia Martí, Alejandra Carolina Moreno, Paula Pastrana, Patricia Solanas, Abril Solsona, Alba Tomàs, Joan Vidal, Núria Vílchez.
