'Entremig' Jordi Fulla

Exhibition 'Entremig' Jordi Fulla

Entremig

The exhibition Entremig, organised by the association Segle Nou, curated by Jo Milne, presents a small selection of paintings by the artist Jordi Fulla. These paintings may at first sight appear to document the dry stone huts that Fulla studied all over Catalonia, but in reality they demonstrate his concern to make the unseen visible, and to give form to the void. Between a photographic realism and a more mystical abstraction, the paintings place us on the threshold, between the exterior and the interior of the huts, but above all between that which we do not see but perceive.

The exhibition brings together some of the works presented at Can Pal, Andorra in 2019 with others from the exhibition Llindar i Celístia presented at the Fundació Vila Casas in 2019.

Jordi Fulla (1967- 2019)

Painter born in Igualada, but who considered himself a world artist, with strong links to Paris in his youth and to Japan in the last decade of his life. A reference point for the generation of the 1990s, he was a student, teacher and member of the board of Eina, Design and Art Centre, attached to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

During his extensive creative career, he developed a unique metaphysical and poetic universe, in which he questioned our way of perceiving the world.
His work has been exhibited in Japan, Portugal, the Netherlands, Italy, France and at fairs such as ARCO, Art Cologne and Art Chicago, among many others, and forms part of public and private collections.
