Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHub) presents its new editorial collection, 3P — an innovative initiative aimed at explaining design from a global and accessible perspective — on September 9 at 6:30 p.m.
The collection is the result of a collaborative effort between the Design Library and Archive, the Collections Department, and the Museum's Communication Department, with the aim of highlighting the value of the heritage preserved at the center.
The first issue of the collection is dedicated to the renowned designer Miguel Milá. It includes a representative selection of his legacy: over 2,000 archival documents and around thirty objects from the museum’s collections.
The event will feature Jordi Blasi, industrial designer and professor in the Bachelor in Design at Eina, who authored the publication’s text and is a board member of ADI-FAD. Blasi will contextualize Milá’s work and present five short videos produced by ADI-FAD, showcasing how some of Milá’s designs are part of everyday life for many people.
Also participating will be Rocío Rodríguez Hidalga, ADI-FAD member and former Eina Design student, who will offer a warm and informal tribute to Milá, acknowledging his role as a founding member of the design association. Albert Díaz, head of the Design Library and Archive, and Teresa Bastardes, head of Collections at the Museu del Disseny-DHub, will also be present.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a guided tour of the exhibition Miguel Milá. (Pre)industrial Designer, led by its curators, Claudia Oliva and Gonzalo Milá.
The 3P collection aims to bring design closer to the public through an accessible and visually engaging narrative, connecting museum pieces with everyday life.
