The aim is the restoration of a 1970s restaurant situated in a development by the sea in the town of Capdepera, in Mallorca. Over time and due to the low quality of the tourism, the building has steadily deteriorated and lost its charm.
The aim of the restoration is to connect the interior and exterior spaces to find a central thread. To achieve this, it takes into account: the Mediterranean nature, marking the relationship of the restaurant with the environment; sustainability, and signature cuisine, which will end up integrating the Mediterranean culinary tradition with the premises.
Most notable among the improvements is the design of a new garden that will allow the environment to enter the restaurant, the creation of a skin on the restaurant façade and the removal of the roof to return the original rectitude to the building; all of which using local materials.
According to the feasibility, the project shows that it has a future in the area, as it is outstanding for being innovative, doable and consistent with the environmental and social reality.
