#LlámalaRegla (#callitaperiod) is a project that aims to criticize the taboo that still surrounds mentsruation and to reclaim it as something natural, healthy, practical and fit to be publically spoken of.

In giving visibility to the taboo and fostering reflection and awareness in the general population, the project aims to reassert a woman's period as something natural, eliminating many of the negative consequences of our culture of silence that was originally created by society and later sustained by the media.

The work begins by examining the hypothesis of this taboo surrounding menstruation. Then follows a defense of the period, and the creation of a movement that represents a community, and ends up embodied in a graphic system with an identity of its own.
