Espai Refugi

When you aren’t at home, when you don’t have your own space at a certain time or in a certain situation, when you feel threatened, when you need to set a distance between you and your surroundings, you sometimes need to seek refuge somewhere you feel protected, where you feel at home.

The Refuge Space project develops this possibility and offers an accommodation module that can be situated in the countryside and has a construction system and aesthetics that adapt to different environments. This structure is in response to the demand for affordable accommodation, such as backpackers and travellers might need, with minimum changes to the land. This proposal combines the experience of a tent with the services offered by a hostel. To do this, the space is divided into two areas, communal and private, and as a result, different containers are created for each.
