Els Xulius. Changing location

This project involves relocating the play space Esplai Els Xulius, which has outgrown its current building. Moreover, as a space that hosts a wide range of different activities, the spaces are often inadequate to the needs of young children, and are instead multi-use spaces that lack their own identity.

The space that will be used for the redesign is the current El Local de Sant Pere de Ribes Cultural Centre, a building that is no longer in use.

The project will consist of the renovation and adaptation of the space, in addition to solving some of its existing problems such as the access routes, the lack of acoustic insulation and the soulless nature of some of the design. Moreover, the covered floor, which is currently abandoned, will be recuperated. The purpose of the project is to create a space adapted both to the needs of children, and the needs of the play centre.
