María Manchón - Disseny de Material per a Catering

Designing Catering Material

The project consists of designing a series of industrial and buffet catering elements, where the client is standing and involves serving them finger food. The aim is to create a system which takes into consideration every situation and everyone who will be handling the material, starting with transporting it, assembling it, cooking it and, of course, the end customer. To achieve this, I have chosen to merge some of the elements in order to save material, space and costs. The aim of this proposal for all the elements to be very simple and basic, but at the same time attractive for events.

The tables can be personalised by attaching decorative or promotional items. Trays have a triple function: they can be used for waiter service, they act as tabletops and as conventional buffet-type tables and would vary depending on the added extras. The range of glasses is thermal and stackable. Bins can be created by using and inverting table cones, which saves on moulds.

All the elements are extremely easy to put up and take down, they have no type of joints, are stackable, lightweight, made from resistant plastic and have a formal unity that clearly identifies the product.
