Bivouac-223

This project presents the establishment of low-cost accommodation facilities with minimal infrastructures, proposing a standard model with the aim of its being repeated and adapted to the geography of the place.

We are in Menorca, where there is a footpath that follows the island’s entire coastline. The whole of the route is marked with indications, stages, etc. to make it easier for users, but we have detected a problem: the lack of accommodation points.

Bivouac-223 is synonymous with a basic, manually-constructed refuge, but this concept is also used to refer to the action of sleeping in the elements in a sleeping bag.

To be able to determine an adequate and specific design for the place proposed, we need to take into consideration the respect that this demands. On this basis, the project decisions have been taken to guarantee the minimum impact on the land.

In the sphere of interior design, we have chosen to divide it into two zones depending on the functions for which they are used, planned and designed to ensure the right ergonomic and coherent distribution of the various interior spaces and elements.
