Jordi Duró Trouillet

Teaching

Professor of the Design Degree at EINA since 2007, where he currently teaches the subject Identity Systems. Previously he has also taught Art Direction and Applied Illustration.

As part of the postgraduate course in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques, she teaches the Illustration for Advertising and Design module with Philip Stanton.

Since 2008 he has been teaching Visual Brand Identity Design at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra with Francesc Ribot.

He also teaches a workshop on album cover design at Elisava with the musician and DJ Miqui Puig.

As a teacher, he can give classes in Spanish, Catalan, English, and French.

Professional Activity / Research

Alumni of EINA. He received a scholarship from the Parsons School of Design in New York, where he attended classes with the legendary Bob Gill.

He did his internship with Louise Fili, who passed on to him the passion for typography that would stay with him forever.

Back in Barcelona, he opens his studio while working for several design and advertising agencies. This brings him into contact with many disciplines of graphic design.

With Jordi Torrents, he co-curated the exhibition "La Política retratada. La crònica social i política a través de dibuix humorístic" at the Palau Robert in Barcelona explaining the democratic period through press jokes.

From 2009 to 2011 he was Vice-President of ADGFAD (Association of Spanish Graphic Designers).

Publications

As an author, he has had a daily opinion cartoon in the newspaper Ara since its foundation more than ten years ago. His work has been reviewed in many books and professional yearbooks.

Work

He is the author of the books 'Cesc (sin palabras)' published by Astiberri and 'BAR ZOO LONA', published by La Galera.

He has compiled 8 LPs of R'N'B rarities. He has also made a CD, but he doesn't like it very much and doesn't plan to make any more.
