Born in Argentina, he has been living in Barcelona since 1985. In addition to his work as an illustrator, he teaches inclusive illustration courses around the world. He is the founder of the Windown Association, which promotes inclusion through art.
Teaching and research
He has conducted illustration courses for children, adults, professionals, and educators in countries including Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Nicaragua, Mexico, Costa Rica, the United States, Spain, Finland, Germany, Italy, and Portugal.
For about 14 years, he has been teaching the Specialisation course in children’s and youth illustration.
Professional activity
He began his career in animation at Catu Cineanimación and worked for Hanna-Barbera producing animated series.
He has traveled through the Ecuadorian Amazon collaborating on conservation projects such as Proyecto Harpía and teaching in indigenous communities in Chiapas (Mexico) and Conambo, Pastaza (Ecuador).
He has also volunteered at centers specializing in birds of prey, including Cim d’Àligues in Barcelona and Cabarceno in Cantabria.
He served as artistic director of Casa de la Carlota, a design studio working with people with intellectual disabilities and design students in training.
Work
His books have been published in over 20 countries, with prestigious publishers such as Gakken (Japan), Grimm Press (Taiwan), Nord Süd Verlag (Switzerland), Hachette (France), Edelvives and SM (Spain), and Oceano (Mexico).
He co-created the animated series Juanito Jones with writer Ricardo Alcántara and the production company Cromosoma.
