Àlex Mitrani

Àlex Mitrani

Doctor in the History of Art from the Universitat de Barcelona (2012). He has an extensive career as a freelance curator. He is currently Vice President of the Associació Catalana de Crítics d'Art.

Teaching

He has been a teacher at Centre Universitari EINA since the 2005-2006 academic year.

He is associate lecturer in the Faculty of Humanities at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where he teaches “Contemporary Art”.

Professional / Research Activity

Professional Activity: He regularly works as an exhibition organiser. Since 2004, he has run the Projections programme, aimed at young artists, of the Barcelona Urban Property Chamber.

He collaborates with the curator of the Centre d'Estudis Catalans de Paris at the Université de la Sorbonne.

Research: Member of the team working on the research project "Aproximación a la teorí́a y crítica de las artes plásticas en Cataluña", Valencia and the Balearics between 1800 and 1936, run by Dr Antoni Marí i Muñoz, Chair in the Theory of Art, with the Humanities Department at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
