LAB Collserola 2023 Call

At Eina Obra, we want to demonstrate that the visual arts and design are tools capable of promoting environmental awareness and eco-social transformation towards sustainability.

That is why we are offering this grant for the development of an art or design project whose explicit objective is to recover, reinvent or highlight the fontinal ecosystems of the Serra de Collserola Natural Park located on the southern slope. We have chosen the slope facing Barcelona because, as it has the steepest gradient and the least forest cover, it has a lower capacity to retain water and is more susceptible to climate change.

Water is an essential and scarce resource in the Natural Park. Spring ecosystems are very fragile habitats of great biological and cultural richness. The challenge posed by this call for proposals is how to protect and, where appropriate, restore these ecosystems and the biological life that depends on them so that they achieve good ecological status and avoid deterioration. As citizen participation is essential for their maintenance, it is necessary for the project to generate deep relationships with these spaces that inspire care and action.

In addition to financial resources, the grant offers support in the development, implementation and communication of the project so that the initiative achieves its objectives and is as transformative as possible.

This call for proposals is promoted by EINA, Barcelona University Centre for Design and Art, in collaboration with Campo Adentro and the Serra de Collserola Natural Park Consortium (CPNSC).
