The recent graduates of EINA's Degree in Design: Ignasi Ayats Soler, Álvaro Canovas Puigmartí and Carles Giménez Masclans have been chosen by Blanc Festival to participate in Campus Blanc and present their Final Degree Projects (FDP) next October 3 at the Museu del Disseny in Barcelona.
The jury formed by Josep Maria Mir, Founder and Executive Director of Summa; Bruno Sellés, Founder and Creative Director of Vasava; Ana Mirats, Art Director and responsible for the Blanc 2019 campaign; Velkro, Emerging Studio, participants in the Campus Blanc 2015; and Oscar Medina, Winner of the Crema 2019 Prize selected the FDP of EINA students to be presented in the 11th edition of the Blanc Festival.
The FDP list is as follows:
Adlego - Ignasi Ayats Soler
“Adlego” is a critical-speculative project developed with the aim of generating social debate social related to the current electoral system, a system based mainly on the image, marketing and advertising. To this end, an electoral system has been developed that focuses exclusively on political content, eliminating the image of political parties. It is a reflection on how graphic design participates in politics.
Out of memory - Álvaro Canovas Puigmartí
"Out of memory" is a critical-discursive project that aims to make visible and question the object-user relationship through the devaluation of memory and its externalization. The project questions the functions of the agents of this relationship and the consequences of their actions until inverting them in the framework of a not very speculative speculation.
FOURTURES, An interpretation of Peter Frase's Four Futures - Carles Giménez Masclans
“Fourtures” is a project that reflects on the role of design through a concern for the future of society. Through an edition of Peter Frase's book Four Futures, this project focuses on answering questions such as: What will happen to capitalism in the future? What if we don't manage to stop climate change in time? What will we do when all the works can be automated? Generating debate from these uncertainties in an interactive way with the user, provokes a deep reflection in the reader. This fact converts the result of using design as a tool for dissemination and social transformation.
