Eina at the International Arquitectonics Congress 2026

Grazielle Bruscato, lecturer on the Bachelor in Design and the Advanced Studies Programme in Contemporary Crafts and Design, and Javier Nieto, Deputy Director of Eina, will take part in the 24th edition of the International Arquitectonics Congress, which will bring together researchers, practitioners and academics from around the world to discuss emerging challenges in architecture, design and social transformation.
Organised by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the congress will take place in Barcelona on 3, 4 and 5 June 2026. This year’s edition will be held under the theme Mind, Land and Society.

Grazielle Bruscato and Javier Nieto will present 3rd June the results of the workshop Imagining the City to Come: Situated Learning and Futures Design through Experience in Hybrid Territories, developed with the lecture Narcís Font for educational centres as part of Eina Porta Collserola, an initiative linked to the Barcelona 2026 World Capital of Architecture programme.

Based on situated and experiential learning methodologies, the workshop combines direct exploration of the Collserola territory with the creation of dioramas and other material and collaborative processes. Through these practices, participants imagine and construct tangible visions of possible futures, connecting imagination and lived experience. The outcomes highlight the value of prototyping and tacit knowledge, while demonstrating high levels of motivation, creativity and engagement, fostering an active, critical and projective relationship with both territory and heritage.

The congress will provide a platform for knowledge exchange between universities, research centres and professionals from a range of disciplines, with the aim of exploring the connections between thought, territory and society from a critical and innovative perspective.

Through this participation, Eina strengthens its international profile and reaffirms its commitment to research and innovation, contributing to the global debate on the current and future challenges facing design and architecture.
