Eina Collserola Public Sphere proposes an experiential learning programme to analyse the relationship between Barcelona and the Serra de Collserola, using water as its central axis. This experimental laboratory is part of the international project Situated Creative Practices for the Pluriverse (SIT-PLU), funded by Creative Europe, in which Eina participates actively to foster creative practices linked to territory and sustainability.
This initiative involves students from the University Master’s Degree in Research in Art and Design (MURAD) and is structured around three experiences. In the first, students work with the resilience thinking approach to understand the socio-ecological dynamics of Collserola and its relationship with the city. The second experience offers a pluriversal perspective on the territory through the practice of dowsing, enabling the exploration of underground water and the generation of diverse readings of the landscape—sensory, cultural and ecological. The seminar concludes with a participatory walkshop focused on mapping water and Collserola, which transfers learning into the public space and promotes collective work.
Within Eina Collserola Public Sphere, the following activities are held, open to all audiences:
- Thursday, 8 January at 3.00 pm, Plaça Sant Vicenç de Sarrià: Resilience Thinking Walkshop
- Friday, 9 January at 3.00 pm, Eina Sentmenat: Prospecting Eina’s underground water with a dowser
- Tuesday, 20 January at 3.00 pm,. Eina Bosc: Prospecting Eina’s underground water with a dowser
- Wednesday, 21 January at 3.00 pm, Plaça Sant Vicenç de Sarrià: Resilience Thinking Walkshop
The different phases of the programme are developed collaboratively with the artists’ collective SITESIZE, the urban planner Dr. Francesc Magrinya (UPC/Agrotech), and with the participation of Juan Sáez from Arte Zahorí, integrating science, art and community practices. The laboratory is directed by Dr. Rafael de Balanzó and Dr. Tània Costa, lecturers on the MURAD programme.
