Anna Pujadas, coordinator of the new Advanced Course in Contemporary Crafts and Design, is taking part in the 4th Professional Crafts Congress Apprentice Seeks Master. How to Pass on the Trade: Models and Pathways, which will be held on Friday 3 October at the Palau de Pedralbes in Barcelona, within the framework of the Contemporary Fair.
The congress will focus on training in the field of artistic trades, with the aim of showcasing experiences and training structures that enable the creation of personalised learning pathways and, at the same time, identifying the opportunities and shortcomings of the education system in order to guarantee generational renewal in the sector.
This commitment to renewal and transmission is shared by the Advanced Course in Contemporary Crafts and Design, which trains professionals capable of integrating craft techniques with digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, while also promoting a critical, sustainable craft practice connected to the market.
Both the congress and the diploma agree on positioning training as a strategic axis for the future of crafts, since they aim to strengthen creators’ skills and ensure the continuity of artistic trades. The programme, aimed at graduates in arts, design, engineering and architecture, as well as professionals seeking to update their knowledge, advocates for crafts as a way to promote a regenerative economy oriented towards collective well-being.
