VIGO

VIGO is a corporate identity project that consist of the redesign of the present identity of the public transport system in the city of Vigo.
The base idea of the project is directionality and movement. Using the initial letter of the word Vigo, V, and the directional form that it has, a visual code was designed of a typographic nature that creates dynamism and mobility, specific characteristics of transport.
The main aim is to create a specific and unique visual system that is part of the city’s identity. The current lack of existence of a specific and recognisable image makes the need to act evident. Besides taking part in graphic design aspects, the real nature of the proposal turns this project into a graphic project of social interest.
The project focuses on the development of an identity through the design of the various graphic communication and signposting pieces of the public transport system.
