By phantom architecture we understand all constructions and public and private facilities found in unpopulated places. That is, they are structures where human beings do not live out or sustain their lives.
The time framework in determining that a home is in disuse is three years. From that point on, the architecture itself will generate certain characteristics that define its state of conservation and evolution.
Faced with the need to defend this type of abandoned, unused space, a flexible, multifunctional parasitic system has been created to allow for a new use of the surroundings, thus giving life to such buildings over a certain period of time. This system is adapted to the architecture through tensors that make it possible to create spaces full of life and colour.
The creation of these predesigned modules complements the activity carried out in the chosen site. They respond to basic necessities, enabling the space to be self-sufficient and independent in fulfilling its purpose.
The sites chosen for this project were in two towns in the province of Tarragona. This decision arose from the need to explain how the system can be adapted to completely different spaces, whether geometric housing developments or towns with a more organic urban layout.
