Lost is a project for an alternative form of urban promotion done in the form of an app, which postulates the discovery of cities from an inner perspective.
It is based on the slow life philosophy, which supports the idea of decelerating and simplifying our lives so as to better enjoy them.
The initial graphic project was done using the old quarter of Barcelona, setting out as possible paths of continuity certain cities with equally labyrinth-like street structures, such as Madrid and Rome.
The design challenge was to find a balance between the information available about a city, from an inside point of view, and the spatial and emotional experience of the user in the streets, where it might be possible to come up with one’s own routes.
The structure of the app is irregular, defined as it is by the morphology of the chosen city. The navigation indicators have been designed to make it easier to “walk around” within it.
There are two navigation levels. One is by zones, the other by activities, to be chosen from the opening menu. The informational content has a second level of reading that only unfolds if the reader so desires, respecting the pace and decision-making processes of everyone.
