L’art de no tenir pressa

L’art de no tenir pressa

My design is located in a disused space: a former machine-gun nest from the Spanish Civil War, later reused as a small seaside hut by non-professional fishermen.

The intervention takes place in the north of the island of Menorca, in a protected natural environment both on land and at sea, Ses Fontanelles.

The project has been conceived with sustainable materials and a structure adapted to the landscape, without generating pollution or altering the environmental harmony of the area. It is aimed at resident Menorcan students, who will learn the art of traditional fishing while sailing in a llaüt along the north of the island, accompanied by instructors who will introduce them to maritime culture.

The main objective is to educate in respect and sustainable use of natural spaces, while also highlighting the marine fauna and flora of Menorca. Leisure and direct experience become essential tools for learning, ensuring that the legacy of our ancestors does not fall into oblivion.
