CANVI

CANVI, briefly, is a wine and tapas-tasting venue where the symbiosis between cultures, specifically Catalan and South Korean, is the main concept around which the project is based.

This idea came from a personal concern regarding the fusion between cultures in restaurants. Almost always, instead of merging, one dominates the other. This is due to the fact that no attempts have been made to create a fusion beforehand or it is not possible. This formed the basis for a hypothesis: can two identities be merged equally? Or is it to do with the personal perception of the users and, therefore, can never be fully appreciated?

The solution proposed by this design is to reach a symbiosis for both the formalisation and final ambience, to select the most characteristic aspects of each culture and combine them so that in some ways they maintain their own identity and in others they create a new vision of the two.
