Camí de Cànem

Design of a secular pilgrimage through the natural environment of the village of La Mata (Els Ports region, Castellón) in which a performative action is planned for one of the mountains in the area.

This action involves a walk that begins in the village and takes us through different natural environments until we reach the crest of the mountain where we culminate the act by thanking the sacred tree of the village for the years of its life, to which we dedicate a few words and stop for a while to observe and feel the landscape.

During this route, there are various historical, sculptural, poetic and musical interventions that relate the history of the inhabitants of the village with the territory, which helps to change the way we look at nature and the way we walk through it.
