David Casacuberta

Lecturer in Philosophy of Science at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. PhD in Philosophy. Master's degree in Cognitive Science and Language.

Teaching / Research

Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Philosophy at the UAB and EINA. His current line of research is the social and cognitive impacts of ICT and artificial intelligence, a subject on which he has published several books and articles.

He is currently a member of the Ethics, Security and Regulation Working Group of BioInformatics Barcelona, researcher of the consolidated group GEHUCT (Group of Humanistic Studies in Science and Technology). He also participates as a lecturer in several postgraduate courses on cultural management, contemporary art theory and the design of digital technologies.

Awards

He has received the Eusebi Colomer prize from the Epson Foundation for the best essay on social, anthropological, philosophical or ethical aspects related to the new technological society with his book Creación colectiva (Collective Creation). He is also the winner of the Ingenio 400 prize, organised by the Ministry of Culture and the State Society for Cultural Commemorations, for the best net.art project with his work X-Reloaded (in collaboration with Marco Bellonzi).
