Clara Laguillo Abbad

PhD in Philosophy (UAB, 2018).

Her field of research revolves around temporal discomforts in the context of digitalisation and the research and experimentation of dissident forms of temporalisation.

Teaching / Research

She is co-coordinator and teacher of CursO at EINA.

Since 2019 she has been coordinating the Master's Degree in Digital Art Curating (ESDi-URL), where she also teaches. She also teaches at the Centre for Image and Multimedia Technology (CITM-UPC), and creates informative content for the website Círculo Tecnológico de Cataluña.

She is also currently co-coordinating the quarterly collective curatorial research programme (create) Situations, which has been running at the Centre d'Arts Santa Mònica since 2021.

Professional experience

She has taught at the UAB (Philosophy, Nanotechnology), at EINA (MURAD), at the UB (Fine Arts), at Blanquerna (URL) and at the University of La Plata (Argentina).

Interested for more than 15 years in what it means to curate, she has participated in numerous curatorial and mediation processes (Caixafòrum), documentation (Fundació Joan Miró), organisation (personal archives of artists such as Mercè Boronat and Manolo Laguillo), content programming (Lluïsos Teatre), assembly (Fundació Foto Colectania) and cataloguing (Museo Militar de Menorca).

Of the numerous experiences, the co-founding in 2012 of the platform Nómade. Arte y pensamiento (2012-2015).

One of the priorities in all her professional activities is interpersonal care.
