In 2023, EINA, the Bassat Foundation and the Vila Casas Foundation, are celebrating the hundredth anniversary of the births of Albert Ràfols Casamada and Maria Girona, which will dedicate an exhibition to each of their memories.

Artists, painters, poets, humanists, educators and founders of EINA, Albert Ràfols and Maria Girona are two fundamental individuals when it comes to understanding the history of EINA. Their desire to influence the grey era of the sixties led them to found EINA along with other artists, architects, designers, and intellectuals.

Combining the heritage of the modern Catalan school, as well as European benchmarks such as the Bauhaus or Ulm schools, which supported a teaching model focused on awakening student creativity without imposing aesthetic ideals or technical resources, they proposed an educational programme focused on teaching design, art, and the humanities.
