Philip Stanton, professor of the Bachelor of Design and coordinator of the Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Illustration and Communication Techniques at EINA, has created the mural of the Espai Sud of the Faculties of Biosciences and Sciences of the UAB, which was inaugurated on 22 April.
This work represents the culmination of the remodelling of this space, which counted with the collaboration of the proposals made by the students of the Master in Space Design of EINA.
The mural is a tree, symbol of life and, also of science, and reminds us that both art and science are nourished by inspiration and creation. Using bold and vivid colours, the work presents eight scientists surrounded by concepts and ideas that evoke different areas of science and bioscience.

From right to left, the scientists represented are: Maryam Mirzakhani, Stephen Hawking, Barbara McClintock, Linus C. Pauling, Marie Tharp, Charles R. Darwin, Jane Goodall, Leonor Michaelis.
