Lucas Ramada Prieto will give the talk "This Isn’t About Books: Children’s and Teenagers’ Digital Fiction" as part of the Postgraduate Programme in Creative Illustration and Visual Communication Techniques.

The session will look at what digital fiction is, how it is expressed and how it dialogues with the child’s mind. What the fundamental ideas and works are to understand this “genre” as a new form of artistic expression.

Lucas Ramada Prieto is a specialist in digital forms of fiction for children and teenagers. He is a doctor in language and literature teaching at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and member of the GRETEL group. He works in teacher and reader mediator training. He is also the author of @EstoNoVaDeLibros (This Isn’t About Books), the first Instagram channel in Spanish on the dissemination of digital literature and video games for children.
