CLIMENT, Hub de treball flexible

Eva Ramón, CoDIC Award

Eva Ramón has been awarded second prize by the College of Interior Designers and Decorators of Catalonia (CoDIC) for her Final Project for the Bachelor of Design 'CLIMENT, Hub de treball flexible'.

The project was born from the idea of creating a Hub, a collaborative centre focused on work and study as its main functions, in response to two facts: the workspaces in transition due to the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV2 and the lack of spaces for young students throughout the city of Barcelona.

On the one hand, we would find workspaces for current teleworkers and a space for older students who are looking for conditioned and favourable places where they can concentrate. There would also be production spaces with printers and other physical material, and spaces for reading, resting and vending. This hub would be, conceptually, a hybrid space with diverse and changing functions designed for collectives seeking collaborative environments.

The jury of the 24th edition of the CoDIC Awards valued Eva Ramón's project as a work of professional interior design that touches the feet on the ground. For its respect for an original space that breathes and in which she marks the spaces very well with very simple solutions and few elements. For its simplicity and for being achievable".

The prize-giving ceremony took place on 1 December at the Cubiñá Home&Contract installations in Barcelona, where the shortlisted projects were exhibited during the following days.
