Cristina Bonamusa, Catalonia Ecodesign Award 2019

Cristina Bonamusa Martinez has won the Catalonia Award for Ecodesign 2019, in the Young Design category, with her Final Design Degree Project Work “HBEE”, a hotel of solitary and pseudo-social bees, a nesting place for pollinators in urban parks.

The jury found that the "HBEE" project offers a simple, comprehensive and a suitable for industrialization solution to a biodiversity problem in the urban environment.

The Catalonia Ecodesign Award 2019 is a recognition of products on the market or in development that incorporate ecodesign strategies and that contribute to the circular economy, design quality and innovation.

The award ceremony for the Catalonia Ecodesign Prize 2019, organised by the Department of Territory and Sustainability and the Catalan Waste Agency, took place on 25 November in the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona.
