Clara Mallart, special mention in the Inter-University Research Competition for Master's Degrees

Clara Mallart has won a special mention in the Inter-University Research Competition with her Final Project for the EINA-UAB University Master's Degree in Research in Art and Design Lifelong Fashion: a strategic proposal for a sustainable and circular clothing system.

The competition, organised by the Red Cross with the support of Barcelona City Council, aims to encourage research in the field of sustainable development and recognises projects that make a significant contribution to promoting sustainable development by tackling and studying related issues from an approach based on social transformation.

Clara Mallart's work investigates the relationship between textiles and the extension of the life of clothing through design strategies to enable and reflect on how we can reconstruct a clothing system from perspectives of eco-social well-being.

Lifelong Fashion is a strategy that allows us to think from the beginning of the design process about the creation of pieces with long and safe life cycles, which links the user with creative processes. It is a proposal to design circular and safe systems for these textile artifacts that designers create.
