Casa Manuel Dolcet, the first EINA headquarters 1967

Once, a group of professors who resigned from Elisava decided to found a new design school and quickly got down to achieve a place suited to their needs. Lelis Marqués and Pilar Mangran were in charge of the search for the premises. They would later become part of the educational team at EINA.

An advertisement was published in La Vanguardia the 29th of October of 1966, and the next day, they received the offer of a "house with a garden on top of Sarria." The house, designed by modernist architect Joan Rubio i Bellver, widely satisfied the expectations of Albert Rafols and Marquis Lelis, both because it was rather isolated from the city, and because its modernist architecture and the garden that surrounded it.
