TerraBee

TerraBee is an urban beehive for domestic use based on ecological beekeeping. Its main objective is to adapt beekeeping in urban areas to assist the forestation of bees by providing an alternative habitat favourable to bees.

TerraBee has been designed following the principles of multi-species design, considering the needs of both people and bees at every step of the process. The project is based on the ideation and development of a system that allows to obtain the honey safely. Once the system is activated, an area of the hive is emptied of bees, and the user can safely access it. Thanks to this system, TerraBee is used without specific protective clothing and prevents unwanted contact between species in a safe manner.
