SIFASOL is a music-teaching proposal for use in schools with children in the initial cycle of primary education. Its contents have been designed with a dual purpose: educational, to offer schools and teachers teaching resources and material to help with learning about the qualities of sound and knowledge of non-specific percussion instruments; and play, which proposes constructing musical instruments using scrap materials and team games that contribute to the socialisation of children to help them share experiences and exchange knowledge.
When you open the package, you will see that it contains three boxes:
- SI (B MAJOR): the team game in which the whole class takes part.
- FA (F MAJOR): which contains the more conceptual part: the classification of percussion instruments, the techniques to make them sound and the qualities of sound.
- SOL (G MAJOR): which can be used to create the different percussion instruments you need to play the game.
With SIFASOL, my aim is to revive the spirit of games of yesteryear to help children play them, handle them, move about, discover and learn as they play. SIFASOL, therefore, becomes a teaching and fun tool.
