Restaurant in Algiers

Culture, tradition and respect are three keywords for this work. This project is based on the relationship between two such different cultures as western and eastern.

Situated in the city of Algiers, it fuses oak and hydraulic ceramics to create a traditional yet at the same time modern space.

Over three floors, the restaurant is divided to create different spaces designed for different types of customer, such as families with children and businesspeople.

The design seeks to approach the family concept, so creating a cosy space where families feel free to enjoy their time together as a family. Each of the three floors has its own personality and offers a distinct style which, in turn, relates to the other spaces through the furniture, so creating a blend of styles that generate a multi-purpose and sophisticated space.

Culture, tradition and the set of materials are concepts that come together in this restaurant to create a new space, in which the Mediterranean aesthetic and Algerian tradition fuse in a single concept. A traditional space that is also innovative and sophisticated.
