Wine and the landscape go hand-in-hand in Galicia. The architecture of the bodegas where wine is produced merge with the landscape to become an integral part. My proposal consists of transforming a rural Galician house into a small bodega for the production of red wine, which will also act as a reference point for the promotion of wine culture from the town of Baltar, in the hinterland of the province of Ourense.
The project proposes renovating the house inside and out by making full use of the historical elements offered by its traditional construction. The first objective is to adapt the house to be used for industrial and production purposes. The second objective is to create two independent routes: one for employees, on the ground floor, and another for visitors, on the first floor. This will be achieved by means of a connector element, a walkway, which will enable visitors to access the production areas of the bodega. This way, employees can carry out their work without being disturbed by visitors.
