Planta Rizomàtica

The project explores our relationships with the plant world through art and technology, questioning the hierarchical and anthropocentric view that tends to reduce plants to background or decoration. The research combines readings on hybridization, symbiosis and non-human agency with biosonification experiments, challenging the idea of a “plant voice” and proposing a more situated form of listening.

The investigation materializes in an installation where, through the capture of bioelectrical signals from living plants, electronic systems transform this activity into stimuli that activate sonic, light-based and motorized mechanisms. The proposal does not aim to simulate direct communication with the plant, but rather to focus on materiality, noise, and the distributed agency between the vegetal, the human and the technological.
