This is a project to refurbish and renovate the Paideia school, a special education centre for children with some form of learning difficulty. It is also a change of use project as it is an old home built at the start of the twentieth century that is currently used as a school.
The aim is to make the most of the building and use the possibilities it offers as a school as it is a unique setting for these children with difficulties. The new proposal seeks to recover the original building and treat the additions that the building has undergone as what they are, additions, reformulating them from scratch. In other words, architectural subjects have been tackled.
Finally, the search for open flexible and light spaces with the maximum spatial wealth possible should be highlighted. The treatment of colour, the textures and the careful finishes have been planned seeking the warmth and the comfort of the students who will be using these spaces.
