Més contes is a collection of five stories (A Stop on the Path, The Wise Man, The Surprise Sweater, Circle 99 and The Golden Fish), which contain values and subjects for contemplation. The topics include money, consumption, selfishness, avarice and solidarity. They are aimed at children aged 5 and 6 years old who are very big consumers, who have hardly any limits and who spend many hours watching television, a medium which very often contributes negative values. The project works to achieve responsible, measured and respectful consumption, teaching children what might happen if money and consumption are used incorrectly.
Photography is the visual resource used to explain the stories, as it incorporates all the elements and drawings into the text. I use objects that children would find familiar and that relate to the subject of the story: sand from the park and toys in A Stop on the Path; blackboard and drawing in The Wise Man; their school overalls, TVs and buttons in The Surprise Sweater; a book and writing and painting materials in Circle 99, and, lastly, water, toys and stones from the river in The Golden Fish. I decided to use the language children use now, and put to one side the classic illustrations and stories that today seem obsolete.
