L’objecte poeticofuncional 

This project reflects on the object and what it conveys. What if an object is poetic and functional in equal measure?

A methodology has been developed to design a collection of affordable homeware products based on poetry taken from the anthologies that are frequently studied in high school.

It is a methodolgy that could be exported to other narratives, poems or objects. Four have been designed to date, but the concept allows for infinite different applications.  

The process itself raises questions as to what functionality means, what poetics means, and what poeticofuncionality means.

The object/works to date are: “Eco, Joan Brossa;” “Más allá, Jorge Guillén;” “A XXX dedicándole estas poeías, José de Espronceda;” and “¡Ah de la vida!..., Francisco de Quevedo.”
